Will the Blockchain change the world?
A philosophical opinion about the Blockchain
In recent years, public opinion about our political leaders and governments has shrunk.
The structures that have served us until now and have been built upon since ancient times, such as governments and financial institutions, carry with them corruption and incompetence.
The world is in a constant state of turmoil, disrupting honest human endeavors and destroying the planetary systems that nourish us and all life.
There is hostility and resignation among many people.
A philosophy of plundering and destroying our earth dominates.
Polluting the air we breathe and the water we drink is apparently seen as normal.
The food we eat is also often contaminated due to the greed of the producers.
But one rule appears to be the case for many corporate monopolies, namely the rule of making as much profit as possible.
People feel exploited because the profits from collective efforts flow to a small elite instead of to society.
The monopoly of power of this elite is the root cause of all failures of our policy structures.
The opinions of the average population are ignored and overruled by our institutions, which are usually led by these elites.
Monopolies that control the world with their dominant power have run amok.
Fundamental changes will have to be made in the functioning of our institutions.
Many assume that nothing can be changed, this gives the elite the opportunity to continue with their selfish thinking.
Because of our conditioning, we often think patriotically about our historical rulers, never thinking that we can or should change anything.
We accept what is handed to us in life as if it was handed to us and cannot be changed.
However, there are anomalies, throughout the history of civilization, but they are not always held undurably.
Change is also inhibited by cultural constraints and religion.
The financial monopoly of power
Someone who wanted to change financial structures and power relations was Satoshi Nakamoto.
Satoshi Nakamoto and his current followers want to create a financial system that builds a headwind against the current financial balance of power.
They build an unhackable system using a software code called Blockchain.
This system works without a central supervisor.
They show the world that a digital system can be applied to change the right to private ownership of our labor, goods, property and monetary institutions.
Systems are being created where transactions can take place between people without the need for external administrators.
It is a system of immutability and truth that can be used to transfer value around the world without ever being exposed to the monopolies of the elite.
Without many knowing it, we are on the eve of a (r)evolution that will change a lot about the current monopolies.
The name of this evolution is Blockchain.
It started in 2008 with the creation of Bitcoin and is currently moving towards more decentralized finance (DeFi) that will eliminate the need for bureaucracies.
By creating software tools and systems of rules laid down in smart contracts, they try to eliminate the problems of monopolies and bureaucracies.
There has never been a financial revolution like this in human history, but only a few seem to understand it at the moment.
For example, via a smart contract, one can determine in advance how a production process will be organized, how the burden of, among other things, environmental pollution will be taken into account and will not later have to be borne by society as is currently the case.
These charges are therefore deducted in advance from the anticipated profits.
It can also be determined how these profits are distributed according to a fair distribution between investors, workers and society.
The profits will therefore be distributed more fairly and will not only end up in the hands of the elite.
The result of this Blockchain revolution is that we can finally get rid of the abuses of those in power and the elite who are historically allied to maintain monopolies.
And all we need for that are automated and decentralized ledgers on the Blockchain.
Transparent contracts created by and for citizens and society as a whole.
It is not that we need to change our entire system of laws and trade.
We alone decide what we want as free people and how we want to move forward in organizing a modern and fairer society.
