How to Invest in Crypto
Unless you want to sit behind your computer 24/24 and know a lot about crypto, it is better to follow The way of the turtle, or in other words, trade slowly on the longer term.
By "longer term" I mean 2 to 5 years.
By trading slowly I also mean that you do not purchase all your crypto at once, but spread it over a longer period.
For example, if you want to buy 1000 euros worth of crypto, spread that over a few weeks to months, for example buy 100 euros every week. If you want to trade even more safely, buy 100 euros worth of crypto every month.
Next you must determine what risk you want to take:
Do you have a low risk profile and or do you know little about crypto?
Then only invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum (80% Bitcoin and 20% Ethereum). Anyone who has invested in this way and has never sold at a lower price than the average purchase price (often through panic selling) has made a profit up to this point over a period of 2 to 5 years, you read that right everyone. (However, what has happened to date is not a certainty for the future)!
Do you have an average risk profile and know a little more about crypto:
Then invest in Bitcoin and Ethereum for about 75% of your budget. (For example, 50% bitcoin and 25% Ethereum) You divide the other 25% among other coins from the top 10 (high cap coins), which you think have a good project and can survive in the long term. If you want to increase the risk slightly, you can, for example, maintain a 60/40% ratio. You can also include 1 high risk for about 5% of your assets to make it a little more exciting.
Do you have a high risk profile and know a lot about crypto:
Then buy 25% Bitcoin and 25% Ethereum, and divide the remaining 50% among other coins. You can also consider including some high-risk coins in your portfolio.
However, be aware that competition among projects is fierce and not all projects will survive. Many promising projects have already disappeared and many more will follow. The industry is new and still determining which ones will be the ones to stay.
Disclaimer: the above is not Investment Advice, it is based on my experience, you are free to copy this or not but completely at your own risk. Since the crypto industry is still in its early stages, prices are volatile and investing in crypto belongs to the higher risk class. By investing in Crypto you can make nice profits, but you can also lose!
