How to store your crypto

You have three ways to store your crypto.

1. In an online wallet.
2. In a software wallet.
3. In a hardware wallet.

An online wallet is always online, so this is the most insecure wallet to store your crypto.
Use an online wallet only to carry out transactions and never to store crypto.
If you store crypto on your exchange then your crypto are in an online wallet, so never leave your crypto on an exchange.

A software wallet is a software-based wallet that you install on your PC or phone.
Software wallets are slightly more secure than an online wallet but are still open to attacks when you are online or if there is malware on your PC or phone. So a software wallet is also not suitable for storing your crypto.

A hardware wallet is a hardware device or card that stores your crypto completely offline, so it is the only and safest way to store your crypto.
